KITCHEN

“WARM GRAY”

ABOUT THIS KITCHEN PROJECT

This kitchen was remodeled to provide the homeowners with an updated kitchen. High on their list was removing the tile flooring and changing the layout to allow for a better location for the range. We widened the wall between the dining area and the kitchen to allow for better traffic flow and more natural light to filter between the spaces. The sink was relocated under the window facing the backyard. The other window was removed to allow for the range to be relocated with landing space on both sides of the range. We also removed the wall near the service door to allow additional natural light to filter in to the kitchen. The powder room and service entry received new floor tile and the kitchen and dining area received new wood flooring to match the existing flooring in the adjacent areas on the first floor. Warm gray base cabinets are offset with white upper cabinets to create some interest. The white and gray quartz countertops help tie in both colors of the cabinetry and the countertop material extends up the backsplash at the range for easy cleaning. We re-built the banquette seating to allow for angled backs and increased the depth of the sitting surface for better comfort. The powder room received a fresh new look as part of this remodel as well.
