KITCHEN

“SUNNY DAYS”

ABOUT THIS KITCHEN PROJECT

This kitchen remodel was part of a duplex conversion. The client wanted the first floor dining room opened up to the kitchen to allow for more natural light to filter into the space. The wall and original built-in cabinetry was removed to also allow for a peninsula with seating. We raised the counter so guests could not see the kitchen sink from the dining room area. New cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures and recessed can lighting now finish the space. Special attention was given to the peninsula light fixtures since the client preferred unique light fixtures. We also removed the original doors and installed a single front door with side lights to increase the natural light. The staircase was opened up and a new handrail system was installed to have a more inviting entry. The overall result is a light filled kitchen and dining area for the entire family to enjoy for many years to come.
