KITCHEN
“Going for Gold”
ABOUT THIS KITCHEN PROJECT
The new homeowners felt very strongly about updating the kitchen in their new contemporary home. They especially wanted a better view to the back yard and accent lighting throughout the space. The overall design was developed around the gold appliances the clients selected. We designed a unique custom wood detail to wrap around the support column and created a faux column to frame the range and the view to the back yard. Metal mosaic tile was selected for texture and additional light reflection for the range area and the buffet area. Accent lighting now highlights the toe kicks of the base cabinets and under the countertop seating area. Decorative black and gold sconces with uplighting and downlighting were added to both sides of each column to highlight the slats of wood on the columns. Multiple organizing units were installed in the base cabinets to increase functionality and storage. The island features a double waterfall on both ends of the island and seating for four with additional base cabinets on the back side of the island. The final result is a testament to master finish carpentry and our clients couldn’t be happier!
