BATHROOM
“Rhapsody in Blue”
ABOUT THIS BATHROOM PROJECT
This master bathroom was strongly desired by our clients as they had been sharing their only full bathroom with their young daughter for several years. We recommended borrowing space from their large bedroom to create this stunning bathroom. The clients especially wanted a bathroom that was not a cookie cutter gray and white bathroom. They expressed wanting something different and unexpected, yet traditional. We first determined the layout of the space and started working on the decorative elements, including accents of blue. (Our clients’ favorite color.) Finding the perfect tile for the feature tile vanity wall was especially important since it would set the stage for the space. The wall of tile allowed us to install wall mounted faucets that helped to keep the counter clutter free and created a unique focal point. The vanity dresses up the space with Rustic Alder to achieve the look of an antique piece of furniture. The half wall on the shower allows privacy for the toilet area as well as the shower and allows the natural light to filter through the space. For added privacy, we applied frosted film to the existing window that had been recently installed. The floor tile was arranged in a herringbone pattern for added interest and each piece of floor tile was hand selected to achieve a balanced appearance of color, shade and veining. Our clients are in love with their beautiful bathroom and couldn’t be happier to have this space to call their own!
