MUDROOM/LAUNDRY
“Mid Century Inspired”
ABOUT THIS LIVING SPACE PROJECT
This laundry and mudroom remodel was part of a basement renovation with a mid century feel. The remodel required us to work with the existing concrete floor that was tinted Sedona Red, a color often used in Frank Lloyd architecture. We suggested warm gray cabinetry and countertops to go with the teal green glazed brick tile that the client had found and wanted . The dog washing station features flat stone tile on the floor to add a natural element to the space. The staircase was rebuilt to meet code standards and a new handrail system was installed that featured a handcrafted cap on the newel, simple painted balusters and a stained handrail. The stair risers were tiled with colorful patterned tile for added interest and durability. Recessed can lighting now brightens the space.
