The homeowners approached us after becoming disappointed by the design and estimation process with another general contractor. They were impressed with the other contractor's beautiful design but became disappointed and frustrated to learn that the plan would require them to spend a lot more than they had budgeted for the project. We worked with the clients to develop a plan that worked within their budget and met their needs without skimping on design details. The second floor expansion allowed for a new master suite, three additional bedrooms and a Jack and Jill bath that was accessible from the hallway. The clients especially loved that we were able to incorporate a large window above the entry that would allow natural light to filter into the new second floor. Portions of walls were removed to open up the existing staircase to the first floor as well. Two archways were added at the front entry to create a custom detail as you entered the rest of the first floor. The new master suite was situated towards the back of the house overlooking their wooded back yard. The laundry was also relocated to the second floor. This project won a Gold Award for Residential Addition $100,000 to $250,000 at NARI's annual Wisconsin Remodeler's Awards in 2017. This project is located in Bayside.
