NARI Wisconsin Remodelers Awards
The original kitchen lacked counter space and was separated from the family room with a wall. This client likes to entertain and the configuration of the space did not serve or needs. The new layout required opening up a wall and removing closets to install more cabinetry. The kitchen flows into the eat-in area and family room for better entertaining. A peninsula allows for counter seating and great counter space for prepping food. The custom black metal hood was designed to tie in the black wood burning stove in the family room. A mix of white and blue cabinetry as well as black and gray-blue granite countertops help tie in the space. Wood beams were installed in the family room to help make sense of the existing angled ceiling. A small outdoor space was converted to an indoor space to allow for a small office for the homeowner. This project won a Silver Award for Residential Interior $100,000 to $250,000 at NARI's Wisconsin Remodelers Awards in 2019. This project is located in Whitefish Bay.
